history

liabella's first memories are of the snows and freezing blizzards of icewind dale, and it is her home more than anyplace else, despite her knowing that she was not originally from there. it was, after all, the only home she ever remembered knowing. so when there was a chance to help protect it and bring it to greater safety, she could not have considered otherwise. and somewhere along the way, she found herself making close friends in a way she never had before—and even finding love.

despite her heritage and true nature, she considered herself an elf in all the ways that it really mattered, and like all her kind, she kept the truth of her nature a secret, though she eventually did tell the one person she trusted the most. the journey was difficult, but everything worthwhile always is, and there were more than a few roadblocks in lia's quest to save icewind dale from destruction. but with the help of her friends, she prevailed through it all, eventually managing to defeat a demon and returning her home to the way it was meant to be.

after the long and tiring events that led to the end of her journey, lia and her beloved retired from the adventuring life for the most part, choosing to help out some travellers when needed but otherwise, focusing on themselves and their growing family. she was ready to embrace an ordinary existence, not wanting the life she could have otherwise.

lia's heart was captured by a brooding and moody elf with a shadowy past, and although he frustrated her at time with his withdrawn attitude he also charmed her completely. wide-eyed, she tumbled head-over-heels into love with him, and soon, he was falling for her as well. she told him who she really was, something she knew was forbidden to her, but she trusted him, and she knew that, if they were to build a life together, she would have to be honest with him.

though their courtship was difficult at times, the two loved each other deeply, and that made all the difference. it wasn't long before they knew they couldn't live without each other, and that every lonely and trying moment in both their lives had brought them to each other. so, they swore they would never be parted, and lia promised that she would never return to the place of her birth that she didn't remember anyway, a promise she kept.

after their battle with a demon and the saving of the world, the couple disappeared for the most part, choosing to quietly raise their family is some place that few know, for they wanted a private life, away from the eyes of others, not wanting the attention that came with being heroes. little is known of their story after this aside from wildly exaggerated tales, but everyone knows they must be happy and still in love, and well, that's what really matters.
