luneiros was born with a song on his lips, and from the moment he could speak he preferred to sing. music called to him, and he wouldn't have had it any other way. he loved performing, and loved the way people gathered around to listen to him sing and play his treasured instruments. many often said that his music was healing, and he always did his best to play to anyone who needed to hear it.
his fateful meeting with sylphie changed his life forever, and he wouldn't have had it otherwise. never the type to be involved in a relationship unless it meant something, he had little romantic involvement until meeting sylphie. being a true romantic, luneiros courted her with serenades and bouquets of flowers, each larger than the last. their love blossomed under the boughs of weeping willows and was sealed with their bond and marriage sanctified.
after his marriage, luneiros stopped performing in public so much, preferring to remain at home with his beloved wife and eventually, his precious family. though he would still play for willing ears on a regular basis, the thrill the crowd had brought him was now trumped by the warm feelings he felt in his home.
a born dreamer, luneiros fantasized about love nearly as soon as he was old enough to understand what it was. yet, he knew not to rush it or force it, and that if it was in the cards for him it would come when it was meant to. he had time, after all. he hoped, though, and prayed, wanting a love story like that of his parents. and then the day came when he laid eyes on sylphie, a young high priestess of rillifane with a fair face and an even more beautiful soul. as he played his song he looked into her eyes and knew he would never play this song, or any other, the same way again.
luneiros courted her with flowers and ballads, but he needn't have bothered. she would have loved him if he had nothing to offer but hisself. their love was fierce and bright, and they knew early on that they would be together forever, that their hearts would never beat the same again. no one could tell them otherwise, and why would they? it was clear that they were fated to be with one another. it was an ending of their lives as individuals, but one they were happy to write, because it meant that it was time for their beginning together.
nearly immediately after their marriage they celebrated the birth of their first children, a set of triplets: two sons, nelaeryn and qildor, and a daughter, ruavia. they could not have been more proud to be parents, and both of them were happy to stay at home and nurture their family. being thrown into the deep end of parenting proved to be a challenge, but one they were ready for, and one that together, they were able to manage. they were careful never to keep the triplets separated for too long as they were raised, and as a result the siblings grew up close-knit, always having each others' backs. in their youth in particular, they caused a lot of trouble, but their doting parents indulged them just enough. they still grew up to be compassionate, independent adults, caring of the world around them.
the couple was unsure whether or not they wanted to bring more children into the world, but after several decades passed, they were ready to be parents again, prepared for the mixture of sorrow and joy that awaited them. they had another son, pafaren, followed by a daughter, orithana. though not close in age, pafaren was fiercely protective of his younger sister, and as she grew up he was her devoted guardian. orithana was delicate and graceful, her head in the clouds, but with such a dedicated protector, she was able to grow up wide-eyed and innocent, without the horrors of the world weighing her down.
