evie's mother loved her, in her own way, and the woman that she once was would have raised her with strong morals and ideals, so that's how gorion raised her in honor of that memory, and not the woman she became. though all evie wanted was a family of her own, her calling refused to be silenced. and so, with an eager heart, she threw herself into her training from a young age, planning to set out from the library as soon as she was allowed to go. her first journey outside of candlekeep's walls, though, saw her wander right into an ambush, and with her father killed, her plans crumbled. she had little to ground her now, and things would only get more complicated from here.
utterly devoted to her goddess and to the good in the world that she deeply believed in, no matter what horrors she had seen, she travelled the sword coast, single-handedly bringing an end to the iron crisis and exacting revenge for the murder of her father. things were not this simple, though, and she found herself imprisoned and experimented on, separated from her beloved fiancé, her dearest companions slaughtered. equally horrible, her sister was taken from her, and as eveline desperately chased her trail, she learned that she'd accidentally slain the love of her life. though this was only an illusion, and one she was able to set right, it deeply affected her, leaving deep scars on her heart that would take years to fully heal.
when her soul was wrested from her, evie kept her chin up and knew she could not fail to get it back, so she did not fail. still, this wouldn't free her from responsibility, and even if the prophecy hadn't been hanging over her head, it had never been who eveline was to ignore people in need. she put a quick stop to the bhaalspawn wars before they could truly begin, and when offered godhood, she smiled as she turned it down, choosing a mortal life with the man she loved over an eternity spent alone.
