history

aeven didn't really feel like he ever fit into his hometown. while his parents loved him, they couldn't change him, and they didn't really understand him no matter how hard they tried. so, being young and impulsive, he ran away from home. however, he found something he didn't expect: the friendship of a young elf called lumaris who convinced him that he couldn't run away from his problems. he returned to his parents, but he had already found a place in the world, and when he was old enough he said his goodbyes and left.

though he and lumaris continued to see each other as the years passed, it wasn't until they reunited as adults that their friendship became fully realized. though they had a lot in common, they were also different enough to keep each other grounded. once lumaris became the leader of his parents' mercenary band, aeven joined him as his second.
