aria's first memories are of blood and pain, and then a frighteningly long blur of nothing at all. after that, she ended up in the mortal world, where many of her kind frequented in order to prey on the mortals who lived there. she fought her nature, though, not wanting to cause anyone pain or trouble, even though she knew she would thrive off it.
as she travelled, she kept a low profile, not wanting to cause any fear, keeping herself in human form. it was a lonely existence, and not at all satisfying, and it made her depressed at times. so she tried to do good whenever she could, but without being seen. this lifted her spirits somewhat, and yet something still felt missing from her life, and she knew that the life she was living was no life at all.
