history

izzy would give just about anything to fit in, but it's difficult to fit in when your skin shimmers with scales in a world where your kind is often feared and known for their evil natures. so she learned to stick to the shadows, keeping herself hidden. and so she watched people as she tried to learn about them. her life had not been a happy one, nor a truly normal one, and it was like starting her life over.

though she wanted to become better, cynicism was rooted deeply in her heart and it was a struggle as she learned to remove it. slowly, though, she learned that the world she had lived in was not only unkind, but that she would never truly be free of it as long as she allowed it to hold her back. armed with this knowledge, she burst out of her shell at last and truly began the effort to find her place.

it still wasn't easy, but izzy's newfound resolve served her well. though there were still people who rejected her based on her appearance, she also found people who loved her for who she was. it is even said that eventually she was able to find people who helped her complete the ritual to turn her fully human again…though whether this is true or just a fanciful rumor has yet to be determined.
