inarora was never one to close herself off, so she was always open to love, but in the end she found it in the last place she expected: her torturer's dungeon. in the arms of a half-elf with a dark past, she found the acceptance and a love that she was sure she could never have found with anyone else. though he was moody and struggled with a dark past, inarora was well used to facing her own inner demons, and she could handle his as well. she refused to be scared away, and stood by him, willing to understand him and love him. she felt understood, and seen, and though it wasn't always easy, she knew that it was real. together they faced the loss of her soul, and together they fought in hell itself to get it back.
in the deserts of tethyr they became quietly engaged, promising to get married as soon as the war was over. though adrian feared he would lose her, ina had never wanted her father's legacy of blood and murder and she had even less of a reason to accept it when she fell in love. she turned it down without hesitation, easily casting it aside. once that ordeal was over, they travelled back to athkatla and found a priestess of sune to marry them in a private but sweet ceremony. after their wedding, the pair travelled with the accompaniment of an old friend to the place adrian was born and they found his father, a relationship that would prove important to them both.
soon after, they settled down. the birth of their only daughter caused them a bit of trouble when fatherhood proved to be a challenge for adrian, but it was nothing they couldn't get through together, even if it took some time. for a time, ina was devastated, but she stood by him, determined that the two of them would get through this, as they had everything before. inarora would always say that without his father, they might not have gotten through it at all, but she will never say more than that, and whatever he did for them remains within the family. their daughter was doted on and adored, and grew up pampered and happy.
though the rumors of their life together are varied, many agree that the pair had considerable influence wherever they went, and that they were still very much in love, despite the trials they had faced, and that inarora's happy laughter follows them wherever they go. each rumor seems more unfathomable than the last, but the couple would only smile enigmatically when asked about any of them, and inarora would kiss him and laugh. it is impossible for most people know what really became of them, but if the bards' songs are any indication, they never stopped making history.
